The minimum fare from 24 July will be Rs 20 instead of Rs30 with a maximum fare of Rs100, down from Rs180. The frequency on the corridor has been improved from 15 minutes to 10 minutes and 30 seconds during peak hours, and the maximum speed of the trains has been increased to 80 kilometres per hour (kmph) from 70kmph.
