The Punjab and Haryana High Court said since defence personnel are liable to maintain discipline and are governed by the provisions of the Army Act, 1950 during leave, corresponding duty of the armed forces is to take care of their personnel.

Trai, Idea rapped for VAS charges
A Delhi-resident had complained that Idea activated voice chat on his number without his consent and deducted charges despite a request of deactivation. Trai had amneded its earlier rules where the service provider had to obtain a prior explicit request or consent for subscription to such similar services before activating the same. 

Foreigners can wear gold in India: Kerala HC
A Sri Lankan's gold chain was confiscated and a penalty of Rs 5,000 was imposed on him. The court ruled that the Customs Act, 1962 and the Baggage Rules, 1998 do not provide sufficient warning to foreign tourists entering India that wearing a gold chain is prohibited.

NGT cancels environmental clearance for Aranmula international airport
The agency hired for clearances, Enviro Care India Private Limited, was not competent to prepare the Environment Impact Assessment or appear before the Expert Appraisal committee.
